Opening signal

We're running an academic journal on manually managed PDFs — no version control, no workflow, no searchable archive.

The story

The situation.

GGSIPU's academic journal — Indraprasth — ran on manually managed PDFs. Publishing a new issue meant staff handled files, emails, and approvals by hand. There was no version control, no editorial workflow, no searchable archive, and no path to compliance with global academic publishing standards.

Kyrex deployed Open Journal Systems on a managed VPS, migrated the legacy PDF archive into structured OJS records, and personally trained the editorial staff through the transition. This was not a handoff — it was a managed migration with the team kept at the centre throughout.
